Banquet Coordinator

A hotel banquet coordinator is responsible for assisting the banquet manager in the planning, coordination, and execution of events and banquets held at a hotel. Their duties may include:
  • Meeting with clients to understand their event needs and preferences
  • Coordinating with hotel staff to ensure that the event runs smoothly
  • Assisting in managing the event budget and ensuring that the event stays within budget
  • Helping to hire and supervise staff for the event, including servers, bartenders, and other event staff
  • Coordinating with vendors such as florists, caterers, and entertainment providers
  • Helping to oversee the setup and breakdown of the event space
  • Handling any issues or problems that arise during the event
  • Obtaining feedback from clients and using it to improve future events
The banquet coordinator typically works under the supervision of the banquet manager and assist in the coordination of all aspects of banquet events, including setup, service, and breakdown. They typically have less responsibilities and authority than a banquet manager but are still an important part of the team.
